Recent months saw various teachers’ unions gathering for their annual conventions encouraging their members and hyping their agendas.
But all is not well behind the scenes. In fact, school choice expert Corey DeAngelis suggests that the teachers’ unions are running scared right now.
“The good news is, families have woken up, the jig is up, and the unions are terrified right now because families are pushing back and holding politicians accountable—finally,” DeAngelis said recently on the podcast, “From the Kitchen Table.”
“We’ve had more victories on the school choice front in the past three years than in the preceding three decades,” DeAngelis went on to say.
Why is this?
One simple reason is that the teachers’ unions overplayed their hands during the COVID pandemic. Sitting beside their children while they did Zoom school, parents saw what was actually happening, while also observing that the unions were far more focused on their own needs and interests than those of the students.
Families got to see what was happening! They started to see the schools were focused more on the LGBTs than the ABCs. They weren’t focused on the basics, it was more about indoctrination than education, and families don’t want to send their kids to people who they feel like are brainwashing their children for 13 years of their lives, for seven hours a day.
Today, parents are pushing back in what DeAngelis calls “The Parent Revolution.” They’re going in front of school boards, asking questions, and seeking alternatives to the poor quality education that the public system offers. In fact, DeAngelis estimates that “about a million kids [have already] left the government school system” since COVID.
Will your family join the ranks of The Parent Revolution in seeking choice and a better education for children?
Corey DeAngelis is coming to Minnesota September 19 (St. Cloud) and 20 (Minneapolis)! You won’t want to miss these enlightening evenings as Corey talks about The Parent Revolution sweeping our nation and the empowering path forward for American families through school choice!
