No one knows what is best for their child better than their own mother and grandmothers, and that is exactly why Alfrieda Baldwin has chosen to become an advocate for her kids and all Minnesota children. Alfrieda is also one of the mothers and grandmothers behind Exodus Minnesota.

After learning that Twin Cities were lacking in Christian based school options, she stepped up and literally started a school to fill the gap. Alfrieda’s top priority was creating a school that would be able to serve families of all income levels.

Another incredible advocate for school choice who is making her voice heard is Kofi Montzka. Kofi has a great story behind why she has chosen to speak up, and one that needs to be shared: “As a black mom, who once was a black child of a drug addict, I saw education as the only way out. Education is the great equalizer.”

Kofi understands firsthand that our education system is failing our children by talking without action to back it up. “I am so sick of the failing education establishment talking about ‘equity.’ If they really want equity, they would provide a quality education or allow all students a real ability to go elsewhere when their school is failing them. There will never be equity if a child can’t read or write.”
